Faithful in the Waiting: A Season of Growth at Boland Ministries

October 2026 | Ministry Updates & Reflections

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." — Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

A Season of Building, Learning, and Trusting God

It has been a few months since we last shared an update, and we wanted to reconnect with everyone who has been following, praying for, and supporting Boland Ministries.

Sometimes, when things get quiet on the outside, it can feel like very little is happening. However, we have learned that some of the most important seasons of growth happen when no one is watching.

Over the past several months, Ashley and I have been working through the opportunities, responsibilities, and challenges that come with establishing a ministry. Between our family, professional responsibilities, writing, planning, and laying the foundation for what we believe God has placed on our hearts, this season has required patience, intentionality, and tremendous faith.

We have experienced encouraging moments, unexpected challenges, and lessons that have reminded us that building something meaningful requires more than enthusiasm. It requires discipline, consistency, humility, and a willingness to trust God's timing rather than our own.

And through it all, we remain grateful.

Looking Back Without Losing Sight of What Lies Ahead

When Boland Ministries officially began earlier this year, we knew we wanted to help people grow closer to Jesus Christ through discipleship, biblical truth, service, and meaningful relationships.

We did not fully understand how much we would learn along the way.

Building a ministry is not simply about creating programs, publishing books, organizing events, or developing a website. It is about developing a foundation strong enough to support the people we hope to serve.

That requires prayer, planning, accountability, stewardship, and sometimes the willingness to slow down long enough to ensure we are building in the right direction.

We have learned that progress is not always measured by how quickly something grows. Sometimes, progress is measured by the strength of the foundation being established.

We do not want to build something that looks successful. We want to build something that faithfully serves Christ and genuinely impacts lives.

Celebrating the Work Already Underway

Although much of our recent work has taken place behind the scenes, we are grateful to share several developments.

Man Down: Rising Up in a Fallen World

Through Man Down, we have continued sharing a message of hope, restoration, accountability, and biblical manhood.

The book and its accompanying online fellowship have created opportunities to connect with men navigating personal struggles, family responsibilities, spiritual challenges, and the desire to become stronger followers of Christ.

Not every conversation happens publicly. Not every life touched results in a comment, a message, or a visible response.

We are learning to appreciate that ministry impact cannot always be measured by numbers alone.

Our prayer remains that every man who encounters this message understands that his past does not have to determine his future and that restoration is possible through Jesus Christ.

True North: Encouraging Women Through Faith

Ashley has continued developing the heart and vision behind True North, including her devotional, True North: Finding Hope, Healing, and Jesus Through Brokenness.

Her 30-day women's fellowship brought together approximately 50 women for encouragement, reflection, biblical discussion, and community.

It was a meaningful reminder of the importance of creating spaces where women can be honest about their experiences while being encouraged by God's Word.

As we look ahead, we are excited about True North's possibilities and the opportunity to continue supporting women through discipleship, fellowship, and faith-centered resources.

Operation Restored: Serving Those Who Have Served

We are especially passionate about continuing to develop Operation Restored, our initiative focused on veterans, first responders, and their families.

Our vision is to create opportunities for meaningful connection, Christ-centered discipleship, mentorship, restoration, and practical support.

Having experienced firsthand the challenges that can accompany military service and the transition into civilian life, I understand how important it is for individuals and families to know they are not alone.

We continue exploring partnerships, retreat opportunities, and sustainable programs that will help us serve this community with integrity and purpose.

We are still in the developmental stages, but we are encouraged by the direction this initiative is taking.

Looking Ahead: November 20, 2026

We are also grateful for an upcoming opportunity to participate in a veterans outreach event with Kenneth Copeland Ministries on November 20.

As plans continue to develop, we are preparing to connect with veterans, families, and others attending the outreach.

This opportunity is especially meaningful because it brings together several things close to our hearts: faith, military service, encouragement, and the importance of community.

We look forward to sharing more details as we finalize arrangements.

Building for the Future

Behind the scenes, we have also been working to strengthen the organizational foundation of Boland Ministries.

This includes developing our ministry programs, establishing governance and administrative processes, exploring funding opportunities, building relationships with potential partners, and expanding the resources available through Boland Publishing.

We are also continuing to develop our website to make it easier for people to learn about our mission, explore our resources, connect with our programs, and find ways to become involved.

Our long-term vision includes retreats for men, women, and couples; discipleship opportunities; veteran and family support; and resources that encourage people to grow in their relationship with Christ.

These are goals we are actively working toward, not accomplishments we are claiming to have already achieved.

We believe responsible ministry requires both vision and stewardship.

Faith does not eliminate the need for preparation. It gives our preparation purpose.

A Personal Reflection: Remembering Why We Started

One of the greatest challenges in building anything meaningful is remembering why you began.

It is easy to get consumed by schedules, deadlines, finances, logistics, and the countless responsibilities that come with leadership.

But ministry was never supposed to become simply another organization to manage.

It is supposed to be about people.

The husband trying to rebuild his marriage.

The veteran struggling to find purpose after service.

The woman carrying pain that few people understand.

The parent praying for a child.

The believer who loves Jesus but feels spiritually exhausted.

The person who wonders whether God could ever use someone with their past.

These are the people we hope to reach.

And these are the reminders that keep us grounded in our purpose.

Scripture tells us:

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." — Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

Some seasons will feel slow. Some moments will bring change, delays, and uncertainty.

But we are not responsible for controlling every outcome.

Our responsibility is to remain faithful with what God has entrusted to us.

Thank You for Walking With Us

To everyone who has purchased a book, participated in a fellowship, shared a message, offered encouragement, prayed for us, or taken an interest in what we are building, thank you.

Your support means more than you may realize.

We are still learning. We are still growing. We recognize there is much work ahead.

But we are committed to moving forward with humility, biblical integrity, and a genuine desire to serve others.

As we enter the final months of 2026, we ask that you continue praying for wisdom, discernment, meaningful partnerships, and the families and individuals we hope to reach.

Most importantly, pray that we never become so focused on building a ministry that we lose sight of the One we are building it for.

The mission remains the same: Bringing people closer to Jesus Christ through discipleship, service, and biblical truth.

The work continues. The vision is growing. And we are thankful for every step of the journey.

With gratitude and faith,
